Methanol Description
Methanol is the simplest aliphatic alcohol and is composed of a single carbon atom. It is a flammable, colorless liquid that has a similar odor to alcohol. It is typically used industrially as a solvent, alternative fuel additive, or as an antifreeze agent with its high solubility in water and other organic solvents.
